How to set up Metamask Wallet?

Metamask is a software cryptocurrency software which is used to interect with different blockchains, DApps & smart contracts. If you are using PC/ Laptop you can have it as an extension to your Chrome, Firefox & Edge however if you are using a smartphone then you can download it on both android as well as on ios.

Once you are done installing them, you need to create an account by clicking on the Get started button. Don’t mind the little sneaky fox face, she likes to keep an eye on the cursor of your computer.

Here, on the second page you have two options, use first if you already had a metamask account and have the seed phrase with you, then you can simply import your old metamask account by entering the secret recovery phrase (A combination of 12 random words in a sequence), or if you are a first time user lets click on 2 and create a wallet.

Once you click on “Create a Wallet” metamask will seek some of your permissions to collect a workable usage data (they can’t touch your crypto, be relaxed) to improve the user experience.

You can choose any option according to your will and the first step to create a wallet is to set a password (how else will you login otherwise).

Create a good strong password with a minimum of 8 characters, use a mixture of uppercase,lower case, alpha numeric with some symbols in it to create a tough to break password, tick the “I have read and agree to the terms of use”. People should actually read these, now Click “Create”.

Now is the time you get your secret backup phrase. Read all the instructions on the page. As you click on the lock icon you gonna see a phrase of 12 random words. You can copy them or even if you want you can dowload them in a text file (opens with notepad).

Never click next before actually writing them down as you are going to need them in the next step to actually create the wallet.

You will have to click on each word in the same order they were shown to you in the previous step.

Once you click on them in the right sequence and hit Confirm, your metamask wallet is fully setup and is now ready to be used.
You can import a wallet created on any device to any other device, all you need is your 12- word backup phrase. This phrase is the key to your wallet and you should keep it somewhere safe and never share with anyone.

You are all set to recieve cryptos in your metamask wallet, keep in mind that it does not support each and every crypto and sometime you also need to add specific network/ blockchain to metamask in order to send specific crypto Smart chain to receive BUSD or BNB or any other BSC related token.

You need to login to metamask everytime you reboot your system or close your browser. Simply click on the fox icon on the extension bar on your browser and enter the password, if for some reason you forgot your password you can always import your wallet,
